I believe that before meaningful education can begin, all people need to feel safe, valued, and accepted. Because of this, I believe in a relationships-first approach to teaching. I prioritize getting to know each person's unique spark. By using creative, interest aligned, and play-based techniques, I help students and adults alike feel comfortable and eventually confident while learning new things.
I also know that care givers are the experts on their families. That is why I work hand-in-hand with parents and caregivers as a supportive partner. Together, we can bridge the gap between home and school, ensuring your child feels fully seen, understood, and cheered on in every environment.
My goal is to make the educational journey feel less overwhelming and more like a shared path of growth. I am dedicated to providing your family with the right tools, guidance and collaborative support to move from surviving to thriving

Key Background Highlights
Educational Background
Beth completed her bachelor’s degree in Special Education at Seattle Pacific University in 2011, adding minors in Art and Art History to deepen her creative foundation. In 2015, she earned her master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Washington, where she devoted significant study to Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Teaching Experience
Beth has worked with students across ages, abilities, and instructional settings. She started as a substitute IA in 2012–2013, then spent two years in Middle School Intensive programs while completing her master’s degree. She taught in a Moderate program at Chief Sealth International High School, followed by five years supporting students in a behaviorally focused Resource program at West Woodland Elementary. From 2023–2026, she worked with significantly impacted learners in Seattle’s Virtual Option Program, serving students from Kindergarten through Transition.
Passions & Pastimes
Beth paints, sketches, and creates digitally, and she’s happiest when trying a new recipe or baking for a celebration. Her daily meditation and yoga practice keeps her centered, and she’s always up for a walk with her dogs. She sings constantly—enthusiastically and unapologetically.
Beth’s childhood took her from Minnesota to Wisconsin and eventually to Portland, Oregon during high school. Today, her family is a lively trio: Daphne and Olympus, her huge, fluffy Newfoundlands, and Nahadoth, her fabulously mysterious black cat.
